How to Earn Additional Hours

Check here to verify your recorded Volunteer Hours (as of June 14, 2010)
Please let Margaret Stubner
know if you're missing hours.

Fundraising
  • Assists coordinator depending upon needs of particular fundraiser.  Most common: Commissary Bagging, Imbiss at Middle School EOY Function, and Splash for Cash.  Hours earned after the end of the season will be applied to the next season.
Social Events

  • Christmas Party, End Of Year Banquet
Training

  • Officials taking training for their positions will be credited for those hours.  However, in order to receive credit for training, persons must complete the training – including shadowing – and work at least 2 meets as an accredited official.
Bus Monitor

  • Meets:  One Bus monitor is required for each bus traveling with the team.  Duties include collecting money for non-swimmers traveling on the bus, ensuring that swimmers traveling without parents have a signed guardian form, as well as making sure that all travelers on their bus are aware of times to return to bus after breaks, where buses will be parked during meets, and double-check that all travelers are present prior to the buses leaving stops and meet.  In addition, monitor will resolve any issues occurring during travel (such as making certain that any movies shown are appropriate per team guidelines) and ensure that bus is clean – with all team property removed from the bus – at the end of the trip.  Hours are received for the actual travel time.  The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for assigning bus monitors.
